Cinnamon Oil

Warm, spicy cinnamon oil.
Ahh, the warm, comforting scent of cinnamon. It's a smell that makes me happy. I don't really know of any other way to describe it.

There are many uses for cinnamon oil. You can use it in cooking, massage, soap making, etc. Because this is not essential oil, but a diluted form, it should be safe to use on the skin. When trying anything new, you always want to try a small amount on your skin before applying to a large area.

Materials Needed:
  • Glass jar; preferably a dark colored (amber or green) one to keep the oil from going bad. A mason jar can be used if you are keeping the oil in a dark place.
  • Cinnamon Sticks - about a handful.
  • Oil - your choice. A good olive oil works well, but you can also use whatever you have on hand.

Step 1
  •  Place the cinnamon sticks in your jar.

Step 2
  •  Fill your jar with oil and place the lid on.
  • Shake to mix.
Step 3
  • Place in a warm area for about 3 weeks.
    • If using a clear jar, keep in a dark area as well.
    • Be sure to shake it every now and then to get it well mixed and infused.

Enjoy!

It's like having a little piece of Autumn in a jar.
